Financial Accountant - German Speaking (f/m/d) Germany

To support our strong growth and build a best-in-class corporate finance function, we are looking for an experienced and highly motivated  financial accountant to  report to SSU Group's Financial Accounting Manager.

The financial accountant is responsible for the timely and accurate monthly accounts of the Group's holding companies. As part of this role, it is necessary to document current processes and perform monthly SOX controls relevant to the entities.

Key roles and responsibilities:

• Preparation and transmission of reports to authorities
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
• Preservation of current assets such as deferred income
• Weekly reconciliation of all bank accounts of the group holding companies
• Perform monthly and quarterly SOX audits
• Preparatory activities as well as support in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to HGB

• Completed commercial training – with further training as an accountant
• At least 3 years of experience.
• Hands-on mentality and can-do attitude
• Experience working with regulators and complying with legal and regulatory requirements
• Experience in accounting and business software, such as Datev and SAP
• Knowledge of HGB and IFRS
• Experience in account reconciliation.
• Great attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of Excel
• Excellent cooperation and communication skills.
• Fluent German and English
