Application & Onboarding
As an equality-forward company, we ensure all candidates have the exact or extremely similar steps throughout our recruitment process. Here’s an insight into what you can expect in our application process.
- Contact with candidates about the open positions
- First interview to know each other, answer doubts and have a better idea of their soft skills
- Second interview technical, to check hard skills
- Third interview, with part of the team
- We make an offer to the candidate we feel is the best fit for the role
- On-Boarding of new employee
At each stage, we make candidates have the necessary documentation and information to hand, offer great channels for communication, and we carefully review if we would like to invite the candidate to move forward in our hiring process.
During the first interview round, we’ll give you a top-level overview on the company, our individual teams, and the position you are applying for. We’ll spend time getting to know each other, focus on your core skills, and also get to know some of your personal hobbies and interests such as any personal projects you’re working on, or anything else you may find relevant to share. At this stage, we welcome you to ask us any questions on the interview process or on the company.
Got through to round two? The second interview stage places emphasis on your professional skill set and where this fits in with the role and company. You’ll connect with our Head of IT who will test your technical knowledge, followed by some additional questions that will help further with regards to our application process.
The final round involves a meeting with select members of our team so you can get to meet your (potential) future colleagues! After, we will discuss internally and cross-compare candidates to determine who we believe would be the best fit – technically and culturally.
We aim to offer a very friendly, fluent, and dynamic selection process for every single candidate. We’re not like normal hiring managers – despite your outcome, we will schedule a 15 -20 minute feedback meeting with the candidate to explain why we made our final decision and clarify any doubts they may have about the selection process.
From the moment you accept our offer, we’ll be on hand to answer any questions or concerns you have along the way.
Firstly, we’ll run a standard administrative process to get to know you better. This includes details like your contract and registration to ensure we have the correct information to file.
Next, depending on your unique needs and short-term requirements, we’ll send you a custom-built welcome pack that includes the essential materials you need, such as a laptop, screen, table, and comfortable chair.
On the day before your incorporation, we will send out a welcome email including an itinerary for your first day. This means the only thing you need to worry about is getting yourself online via Microsoft Teams at 9:00 am! During your first day, we’ll explain exactly how Signa Sports Centro Tecnico works, our vision, our mission, company culture, and you’ll get to meet the faces behind our brand. We will clarify everything related to scheduling, vacation time, contracts and other HR-related topics of interest.
Each team will get the opportunity to make a small (10-15 minute) presentation where you’ll get to meet other team members, learn more about what they do and also meet your own team! To make sure you are settled in as much as possible, we’ll assign you to a mentor for the first week so you have a helping hand whenever you need it most.
The rest of the day is all yours to enjoy and get excited about your new position!
Luckily, our business model never shifted as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Since we work remotely on a regular basis this won’t affect us – perhaps in the future when our company grows, an office could be highly valuable.
If you find yourself wanting to come into the office, we provide co-working spaces where you can visit as you please – for example, twice per week or whenever you feel comfortable doing so.
We recognize that remote work can make teams feel a little separated. Rest assured that we highly value team connection and collaboration in the workplace, and we take creative measures to make sure our employees are happy. We value team buildings, daily coffee breaks via Microsoft teams, Friday kahoots, and much more. Got any suggestions? Let us know!
