In order to support our strong growth and to build a best-in-class Corporate Finance function, we are looking to hire an experienced and highly motivated IFRS Expert who will assume the position as Senior IFRS Accounting Specialist for the SSU group.
The Senior IFRS Accounting Specialist will be a sparring partner to the Director of Accounting and Reporting on matters relating to the IFRS. This role is considered is a critical member of the Accounting and Reporting team reporting into the Director of Accounting and Reporting.
The candidate will proactively approach and drive the further development of the group’s Accounting policies.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Be the accounting subject matter expert for various IFRS accounting topics.
- Research and analyse complex transaction or technical accounting and disclosure issues by applying applicable accounting guidance and preparing detailed documentation to support conclusions. Concisely communicate actions needed to senior leadership.
- Assess, conclude on and document accounting treatment for transactions as well as contracts review and assessment.
- Work directly with the external auditors on accounting positions.
- Support upcoming M&A projects
- Preparing and steering the function towards a successful Post-IPO accounting and financial reporting setup
Act as sparring partner to the Director of Accounting and Reporting and local Business Units in technical accounting matters.
